This was the initial idea for a Kolar-Starfleet hybrid. Well, not the initial idea but the one I liked the most. It takes some ideas from Event Horizon and Stargate style Earth ships.

The Athena
The hybrid used in Year One part two. A Starfleet ship designed by Kolar scientists. The only true succesful hybrid that Starfleet Command has tried, and failed, to replicate.
