Orbiting the planet of Sakaria in the heart of the Kolar Region, Sha Ka Ree was purpose built to be the Federations home in the area.

Starfleet operates the facility through it’s own command staff who’s commanding officer stands as leader of both his own staff and as Federation representative to the civilian council. The CO answers to the Federation’s civilian Region Director who works alongside the local fleet.

Standing as the new home of the 51st fleet, the city contains everything a civilization needs to be entirely self sustainable and is an open port to any traders, or anyone needing repair.

Office Level
Standing above the central core of the city, the office levels hold all Federation and Starfleet command facilties, including the fleets command level which is adjoined to the Christopher Pike Academy’s officer training centre.

At the base of a high office block lies the city’s control center, nicknamed the Epicenter by it’s staff, an open plan office space which oversees and coordinates all vital functions of the city and contains offices for the senior command staff.

Central Core
The Central core contains all the life of SKR. It’s inner most section contains event halls, community centre activities and reaches outwards to science labs, a hospital complex and much more.

The upper side of it’s outer shell is lined with streets spanning three levels high. Each section contains several houses, play areas, small shops and cafeteria’s as well as security huts placed outside the homes of high profile residents.

Flight training centers, the MACO sector and more are all housed within the Central core, which itself is a maze to navigate switching between streets, corridors and open plan commercial or military areas.

Outer Pylons
Reaching out of the core are four spear-like outer pylons supported by a highly advanced structural integrity field. The outer most halves of the pylons are mainly used for starship development or repair yards, cargo holds and engineering labs, but also contain markets open for traders to come to SKR.

One of the pylons also contains an advanced training grounds for the Academy’s engineering sector and houses a re-training center connected to one of the departure lounges.

Surak District
A recently added extension to the North-West hub, the Surak district contains over a hundred levels of housing, commercial units and more including a ‘town square’ within a tower on top of the district which not only contains the most popular shops, but also the central police headquarters and is the most popular meeting place in the city.

Industrial Zone
Hanging below the central core are four huge chambers. Two of the chambers are active open plan computer and power cores used to keep the city’s heart beating. A third is used as a reserve power center and also houses a short term rehabilitation complex.

The fourth was originally another power core, but was shut down three years after the cty’s construction as it was surplus to demands after a huge systems upgrade. The section is now being converted into housing to meet population demands.
